about

I will always associate this with the 1966 album Love Loneliness Laundry, its somehow dystopian guitar riff, and Val Bailey’s wonderful vocals which are simultaneously stoic and enraged.

Leon has observed that feminism “declared the personal to be political which seems to me to be a very good idea as far as songwriting is concerned.”
